Protect our iconic American lands
Friend of The Trust for Public Land,

Happy Fourth of July! It’s our nation’s birthday and a good time to remember all we love about our country. A big part of what makes America great is our public lands, which preserve history, celebrate culture, and provide natural resources, sustainable livelihoods, and a place to revel in natural wonders.

Sadly, not everyone values public lands the way you and I do. Not everyone shares our commitment to preserving these special places—and these lands are in danger of disappearing. That’s why I’m asking for your help to protect these landscapes for all. Will you please become a monthly donor today?

Monthly giving as a Friend of The Trust for Public Land is the most effective way to support your public lands (and ensure they’re still around next Independence Day). For example, Rio Grande del Norte National Monument was created in 2013 to protect its scenic vistas and to support the region’s recreation economy.

In 2016, The Trust for Public Land added a key 2,500-acre parcel to that monument to protect a wide-open landscape from development. But today, Rio Grande del Norte is one of the national monuments under attack by the Trump Administration—and in danger of being reduced in size or eliminated. Your monthly support will help us fight for this monument and iconic landscapes across America—so they are protected as they should be, for all to enjoy. Thanks in advance for joining the fight.

For your public lands,

P.S. Our public lands tell the American story—our history, our culture, our ways of life, the places we gather to connect with nature and each other. And never have they faced a greater threat. Please become a monthly donor today to give us resources to fight the long battles ahead for public lands.
